Dr. Steven Aldana is a professor and the director of graduate studies in the College of Health and Human Performance at Brigham Young University and an adjunct faculty member of the University of Illinois School of Medicine. As a nationally known speaker and researcher he has educated and entertained audiences all over America with over 90 invited speeches. He has spent his career researching and teaching about the impact of lifestyle on disease and quality of life. Besides his engaging and motivating speaking, he has published over 50 research articles and has written five books on the connections between healthy living and disease prevention. He is an advisor to Tommy Thompson US Secretary of Health and Human Services and a regular consultant for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the California Department of Health Services. In the past 4 years he has received over 5 million dollars in state, private, and federal funding to research how the adopting a healthy behaviors can prevent, arrest and even reverse many common chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. As one who practices what he preaches, Dr. Aldana is passionate about educating people about the tremendous impact lifestyle has on disease and is devoted to helping individuals adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles.
